This position will allow you to combine your personal experience in recovery with skills to promote hope in others as they work to improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.

Applicant must meet the following criteria:

     1. Be current of former recipient of mental health and/or substance abuse services and willing to self-disclose as such

     2. Possess a current Tennessee State Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification or be eligible and willing to pursue with company provided training within 6 months of hire.  To learn about accreditation visit: https://www.tn.gov/behavioral-health/cprs.html

     3. High school diploma or equivalent

     4. A valid driver's license for the state listed on your home address, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.

     5. Clean Criminal history

     6. Clean Abuse Registry

This position requires a few Core Competencies including:

     · Proficient working with computer (Microsoft Office and databases)

     · Active listening skills

     · Able to facilitate and engage people in group settings

     · Team player

     · Comfortable around people

     · Ability to reach out and work with diverse groups, individuals, ideas, and opinions.

     · Time management skills

     · Must be a self-starter, able to work independently

     · Open communicator

     · Excellent oral, written, and public presentation skills

     · Ability to work effectively and respectfully with mental health consumers
